The territorial units of the State agency for refugees - Registration and reception centers (RRC):

  • organize the reception and temporary accommodation of aliens who have applied for international protection;
  • organize and coordinate the requirements of mandatory medical examination of the foreigners, who have applied for international protection;
  • organize and make arrangements for issuing identity documents;
  • organize the activities for the provision of food, social, medical and psychological assistance to the foreigners accommodated in the centers;
  • provide procedural representation in administrative cases, initiated on appeals against decisions of the interviewing authorities on applications for international protection;
  • organize and ensure the age assessment procedures of unaccompanied minors and underage aliens who have applied for international protection, and assist in the establishment of guardianship or trusteeship;
  • organizes the cooperation and exchange of information in connection with the administrative proceedings under the Law on Asylum and Refugees between the Agency and other state authorities;
  • organizes the cooperation and exchange of information with the Ministry of Interior and the State Agency for National Security in connection with the reception and transfer of aliens seeking protection, together with all accompanying documents;
  • conducts proceedings on applications for family reunification of foreigners who were granted international protection and of aliens benefitting from temporary protection;
  • identify the persons from vulnerable groups among the aliens who have applied for international protection.
